Join Captured Aural Phantasy Theater  and the Bob Baker Marionette Theater for NIGHT OF NOIR, an evening of vintage underworld treats that combines multi-media performances of vintage crime comics and the sweet seductions of the legendary, historic Bob Baker marionettes. The night includes live music and entertainment to make you fall in love with the shadowy streets of the City of Angels…and bring a smile to your face.

Help close out the Bob Baker Marionette Theater's historic restaging of their recently unearthed revue "Hooray LA" with puppets, crime and a love letter to Los Angeles - ONE NIGHT ONLY!

This Halloween, join Captured Aural Phantasy Theater for the TALES FROM THE CRYPT HALLOWEEN BOO-HAHA!, an evening of vintage Halloween treats and new, live nighttime entertainment at the historically creepy Bob Baker Marionette Theater. In this one-of-a-kind scare show, we present multi-media performances of classic horror stories from legendary "Tales from the Crypt" comic books LIVE on-stage along with spooky music, macabre magic acts and other Halloween thrills including haunting performances by the Bob Baker Marionettes!

Returning to San Diego Comic-con International 2016!

Captured Aural Phantasy Theater is returning to Comic-con International in San Diego! We will be hosting a spectactular panel on Saturday, July 23, in Room 26AB from 4:30-5:30pm.

The panel, "Weird Love: Vintage Romance Comics Come Alive!" delves into the mid-century romance genre and examines what's changed and what's the same in the dating scene between then and now. We are joined by Craig Yoe, editor of IDW's "Weird Love" comics as well as two top women in the comics industry, Adriana Yugovich of the LA Zine Fest and Kristen Simon, former editor of Image comics. We will be discussing the changing role of women in comics using the vintage stories as a springboard. Of course, Captued Aural Phantasy Theater will be performing a few sparkling examples of the genre, including 1951's "I Joined a Teen-Aged Sex Club." Crazy!

Also, the night before, Captured Aural Phantasy Theater will be the featured performers at the San Diego Natural History Museum, also known as the NAT, as part of its Park After Dark event during Comic-con weekend. Join Captured Aural Phantasy Theater for the Los Angeles premier of a recently uncovered 1954 3D sci-fi comic book performed LIVE at the historic Bob Baker Marionette Theater. See multi-media performances of classic sci-fi stories, in the vein of the legendary "Weird Science" comic books, LIVE on-stage along with music, sound effects, cosmic acts and other thrills!

The sci-fi comic images are shown to the audience in 3D for the first time ever in LA! But dont worry! Special 3D glasses will be provided to enjoy the projected artwork!

Doors open at 7:30pm.
Show starts at 8pm.
